    Don't know. It might actually be a smoothbore but I assume the builder would have known about rifling and nomenclature.

    Im more curious is the barrel sleeved together in the navel gun method or 1 piece, not many machines that can drill a hole that deep straight and true. Also is the stock one piece or sections? Think of the tree that piece of wood came from. Its interesting to say the least

    The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

    Would be a little odd if it rec'd a Guiness Record for 'largest rifle' without even being a rifle ...

    when I saw title of this thread it made me think of the movie I saw about Gerald bull and the super gun he built for Sadam Hussain or at least tried to build.
