Thursday I went yard sale-ing I found a Lyman Turret press with 9mm & 30-06 dies for $25 it is in great shape so I bought it for my son. the guy says oh the stuff in this box goes with it . In the box was a Lyman (ideal) powder measure missing the hopper cover and a old Herters powder scale missing the hanger and pan .
I did some research as the pan I had from a broken Lyman scale was to heavy ,with shot filled bottom removed it was 49.3 grains to heavy. I found the pan hanger was made of Aluminum wire so I bent one up and used the gold colored newer powder pan. To get exact balance I used a bit of hot melt glue on the pan bottom. The old scale has patent pending and Herters since 1893 on it also has a level on it . I checked it with my Lyman weight set and it is spot on but swings a long time even using the metal piece to stop movement .
Overall I would say I got my money's worth ! If my son does not care for the press it will be added to my bench!
When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.
That's a killer score you found there. About a week ago I found a Lachmiller Lube-o-matic for about $35, feels pretty good.
These men and their hypnotized followers call this a new order. It is not new. It is not order.
Resized, deprimed and tumbled 50 pieces of .38 spec brass.
Old retired guy in Baton Rouge La.
Annealed around 3500 .224 jackets made from 22lr rim fire cases. About 150 .308 jackets made from 5.7x28 brass.
Busy day!
I rebarreled a solid frame shotgun, did a bit more to the 1917 Remingtons action, loaded round ball ammo for my 30-40 Krag and 38-55 for close range shooting.

Loaded up 30 rounds of 5.56 in 5 round batches to test Hornaday 60 gr. Sp.
Assembled/tested the kit of bits I made on Friday that make a Lyman tong tool muzzle resizer and expander for .25-25 Stevens out of a medium length 310 decapper die body. Actual sizing is done by a .277 drill bushing (McMaster #8491A145), seen second from right in the stack. The .277 bushing is necessitated by the extraordinarily thin neck walls of RMC lathe-turned brass.
Expander is a sleeve pressed onto an old, broken decapper stem and turned to make a 2-step plug like unto a Lyman M-die. Still needs polishing.
A side benefit is that, by mixing and matching spacers, it will also do .25-21 and .25-20.
Seating is handled by a .257 Roberts die bought on evilBay.

Loaded 50 .357 Magnum rounds I weighted the first ten on the old Herters scale I got at yard sale even with the metal part to slow the beam movement it was slow so I when back to my Magnetic dampened Lyman scale .
The load is H-110 CCI 550 and a Lee 120 tc .355 bullet cast of wheel weight alloy and coated and baked . I then sized them to .359 they weigh 125 grains and are averaging 1617 f/s from my 6.5" Taurus model 608 . The load does expand slightly in water and is really hard on steel targets that are not hardened.

Loaded some 124gr HST into Federal nickel cases with cci primers over 5.8gr BE86 which duplicates factory standard pressure loadings at 1150fps out of a 4" barrel, very accurate loading for me as well.
Yawn! Today I finally got started on processing 600 once fired .30 carbine cases. I also cleaned and polished around 100 .380 cases. Its a slow day and I've got a bad case of spring fever. Well at least I'm retired so if it takes me a couple of days to get them all reloaded, that will be fast enough.
Wet tumbling some LC 30.06 brass.

Annealed another 1500 jackets from 22lr, and 200 9mm for 308.
I charged a bunch of 8.15X46R cases, capped them off with a wax wad, and powder coated some bullets in preparation for my next outing with the "Anal Haenel"
