What are some molds I could use for black powder 45 colt that would have enough lube capacity, also where would I get said molds? Ideally I would like 250 grain range

If you are asking in regard to revolvers, Lyman's No.454190. This has been the classic design for .45 Colt since the days when black powder was the only powder. It carried enough lube then, it will carry enough lube now.
If your query is in regard to barrels longer than 7-1/2 inches... say, a lever action with a barrel of 16 to 24 inches... then someone else will have to chime in, as I am a stranger to such.

Don't know if they still make it or not but the RCBS 250 KT is a good one
Long range rules, the rest drool.
Current production Lyman #454190 does not have adequate lube capacity for black powder. Nor do any of the current RCBS molds. Accurate has a good selection of .45 Colt molds suited for either smokeless or black powder. Some of Tom's options. Not a comprehensive list:

45-251C is one I had suggested. It’s based on John Kort’s design for the 44-40 and is an upsized version, which holds enough lube for BP loads. I use it in both rifle and revolver.

I use various lead alloys some of it I really don’t know what it is as it’s part scrap lead bullets and cores along with other stuff, what alloy would I want to pick when ordering this bullet mold so I can garentee I can drop bullets large enough to size to .452-.454 but not to big that I will lose to much of the lube groove on the 45-251C
Order mold from Accurate to cast .453 in straight wheelweights, specifying " tolerance centered." This should produce bullets .453 +/- 0.001" so you can either size to .452 or tweak alloy to drop .454-.455 as cast. Adding 1% tin to the alloy will increase diameter about 0.001". Adding 2% tin will increase diameter about 0.0015".

For BP loads in a 45 Colt you should check out Big Lube molds (formerly Dick Dastardly) They are specifically designed to hold ample lube in them.
If you are going to make a hole in something. MAKE IT A BIG ONE!
I have a mold from ACCURATE. 220gr that drops at .452 so I don't have to fool around with sizing.
That rcbs bullet and the lee 250 gr swc are my go to bullets in the 45 Colt
The lee isn’t t real good with black but it works
Long range rules, the rest drool.
I used to use that RCBS mold in a Ruger Vaquero and an 1894 Marlin. It worked really well lubed with DGL. In the Marlin, maybe due to the fat chamber, I could shoot until I got bored without fouling being a problem. I do live in a pretty humid area though. Accuracy was good in the rifle, even better than the 250gr Hornady HP/XTP bullets. Hard to say in the Vaquero. I can chuck rocks more accurately than I can shoot a revolver
Chris.
I have a Rapine 458-201 that casts 459 at 255 gr I believe it was intended for 1st generation Colts and their ilk . It has lots of lube capacity. I would second Big Lube or the assorted Lee based moulds from Track of the Wolf .
