I use a Lee Pro4 20 pot. I never use the bottom outlet. It leaks and gets in the way. I’d like to plug the outlet and discard the mechanism. How have folks successfully done that? What’s the best way to do this?
Thanks,
Tom

I guess that depends on if you want to easily convert it back or not. Simplest way would be to spot weld or silver solder the spout hole on the outside.
Replacement pots are just $20 so converting it back isn’t such a concern
You could simply put a bolt in the hole with the nut on the bottom.
Use a brass washer on the inside and tighten it.
Brass melts at 1710f
Don't like being hammered by the Cast Boolits Staff, then don't be a nail.
The rules are simple to follow.
just put it on a shelf and buy a laddle pot, they aint that expensive and someday you will do bottom pouring and need it. it never hurts to have two pots
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead
