    Think It Would Feed ?

I want to buy or make a about 160 gr mold for 9mm Glock 17and the bolt action 9mm carbine I made

I was looking on the Lee web site
I looked at the Lee 358-158-RF

    I had a idea
If I removed the crimp grove

Would you think it would feed with that wide of a meplat ?

    Thanks
    John

Folks on here have used that mold in 9mm as it is. Be careful of seating depth with your charges. With that mold, you would definitely need a good throat in your barrels.

I use the NOE 358 155 Elco boolit. In hp form it’s supposed to drop at 147, mine drops 152. With flat pins it should drop 155 grains. It’s closer to 160. And it’s designed for short throat or leades.

I’ve used that boolit in a beretta 92 and it worked ok. Seating depth was too low with the taper that most 9mm brass has so it was swaging down the boolit base some. Although it didn’t cause any problems, I moved on to a 147 grain mold.

    Now there's no chain.

Did it back in ‘09 with my Sig 228. Worked well. YMMV.
