I was gifted a L.C. Smith 12 gau side by side
It still needs a LOT of cleaning and this is after I already spent a good amount of time cleaning
As I hope to hunt with it , I made a replacement stock
A simple and plain replacement
As the butt stock was badly cracked and a REALY BAD repair attempt was made
Best I can read , it has 2 9/16" chambers
I have 1X fired Federal Paper hulls , card and fiber wads
I got with the shotgun a roll crimper and a Hull cutter
But my question
I have 1F black powder
I was going to load 1 oz of #6 shot
I the notes I got with the shotgun
He loaded with 1 oz of shot , 80 gr of Black Powder by volume of 2F ( what hull was not listed )
I was hoping a 80 gr of Black Powder by volume of 1F would work
I figured I would have lower velocity , but that would be OK
Would the 1F Black Powder work ?
Thanks
John
