My bet is one of the newer Rugers. It looks an awful lot like the magazine for a Ruger LCP Max, only a whole lot longer.
No idea as to which model though.

I don't know what it is, but I'd rule out it being anything "new". One- the mag has a bit of a worn look to my eye, and two- it has a formed sheet metal floorplate. Most new pistol on the market that I've seen use plastic floorplates now.
Second, we can definitely rule out the HK VP70 because that was a double stack, double feed mag.
This mag is unusually proportioned because it's a double stack, single feed, with an unusually long section of single stack at the top of the mag.
I've found the mag is similar in form to a Makarov PMM, but I don't believe it's a PMM mag. Perhaps its something similar of Eastern Block heritage.
I don't know what it is, but someone on the board will see this post eventually and know exactly what it is.

Thank you for your thoughts! I agree, I think it is older and someone here will know what it is.
You are correct; I stand corrected

Given my suspicion of Comm Block origin, this mystery makes me miss Hognose from the Weaponsman Blog. He was a former SF soldier who specialized in Czech weapons but had a very wide knowledge of Eastern European arms (and much more) in general. He was a witty, brilliant writer and historian too. This spring will make six years he's been gone.
Aaron, do you have any context on where the mag came from?
Aaron,
I should have asked this right from the get go: Are there any markings on the magazine? Can you tell what cartridge its for? I suggest trying 9mm Makarov and 9mm Luger. What's the capacity of what does fit?
Perhaps a Llama Omni III.
DG
llama Omni Hi Capacity as DG says.
