Get gang, I’ve been hunting for a while for a set of dies for my TC Barrel in 30/223 Ingram. Anybody have an idea of where to look?

CH4D?
Is this a full length expanded case or is it shortened?

Dunno, don’t have any brass or dies for it. I plan to cast it but I can’t find a drawing to compare to.
I wonder if it’s close to the .30 Apache or the 300 Hamr?

I have a martini in 30/223-222, first made in 1974,I just expand up the neck and fire form to chamber,I full length the body in a carbide .38/357 FLS die, the neck in a self made die.we originally shot this cal with jacketed @ about 2000 FPS,Inow shoot cast ,breach seated. It’s very accurate can go sub MOA on a good day. 150 gn 20/1 pill,9.5 gns Unique. Cheers Mal in au.
Dunno. I can’t find a spec sheet anywhere.
Where in TX? I’m an Austin, TX boy. Retired from the Army and took a gov job in MD.
Good tips. I may try that so at least I can get some formed cases to work with. I can’t find a spec sheet on 30/223 Ingram anywhere.
Not sure if this helps, but I hope so. In the 80's thru early 2000's, I shot a lot of IHMSA handgun silhouette. One of the favorite cartridge's was called the 7TCU. .223 case necked to 7mm, knocking over 50lb steel rams with our 10''-14'' Contender pistols at 200 meters. I would think you could find a set of those dies on a few of the firearm website's or at a gun show. We usually necked up in 1 step, some shooters annealed the brass first, some didn't. If you can find a set of those dies, I always preferred Redding, but what ever you can find. You could order just the expander ball for the .30 cal, and expand it to that. Not sure if going from .22 to .30 in one step might crack the brass? The expander die wouldn't change the shoulder angle, but you could fire form the case that way.
That’s a thought. I do have a 7TCU with Redding dies.
Just checked, found my 2020 Redding catalog. They list a custom die set, 30/.223 but no mention of a name Ingram. Might call them and see what they got.
I wish I could find a spec sheet for 30-223 Ingram. Not sure if it’s an alt name.
I am not sure what the shoulder angle is on the 300 Ham'r, but I wouldn't hesitate to resize 30 ingram in a 300 ham'r die backed out the appropriate amount of space as long as the shoulder diameter was compatible.
The HAM'R has a 30 degree shoulder and is 0.366" diameter at the shoulder.
Looks like the 30 ingram may be 0.365 at the shoulder if it is the same as the 7mm ingram with only a neck change.
That’s my guess too but wish I had the spec sheet to verify. I’m going to Cerrosafe it and measure I guess.
Forgot to mention above. It’s a re-chamber. No clue as to who did the work. I got it as a good deal that thought it would be interesting.[PHP][/Adobe Scan Jan 21, 2023.pdf

Up past DFW about an hour from the Red.
I couldn’t find it either, I thought that it would be in a 1970s Hodgdon manual but it wasn’t.
A Contender barrel would be easy to make a chamber cast of. Candle wax would work.
Ideally, one could fireform factory.223 in it but I doubt it. Good luck on your search.

Cool. Raised in Austin through mid 11th grade. Finished HS in Quinlan TX. East of Dallas.
7 Ingram was similar to a 7 TCU. It is in the older Hornady manual circa 1993 and earlier. I would assume it is a full length 223 necked up to 30 cal. I will snap a picture of the 7 mm Ingram.
Cast the chamber and see how close the shoulder profile is to a 300 blackout. Maybe blackout dies with a spacer would work.

For mine I use a Redding 7mm TCU bushing die with a larger 30 cal bushing for sizing and made a seating die with the chamber reamer. You could probably seat with a 300BO or 300 Ham'r die.
