I've been shooting black powder cartridges for two decades, but I've never competed. Is there a sanctioning body for BPCR I could look up and find out where / when the matches are? I have a Shiloh Sharps that loves to eat lead and the Holy Black

This is from 2019. Lots of contacts at the bottom. Also attendance has been down since the china flu. I was an active competitor in the past but family commitments prevent me from being active in BPCR for the last 10 or so years. My plan is to be active this year.

Check the Competition forum here there is old info but may give you a lead.

Or go over to the Shiloh Rifle forum they have a section over there on shoots around the country.
You're in Colorado so check the Golden Gun Club web page and the Colorado Rifle Club web pages they have shoots listed too. And may have links to other venues

What type of BPCR are you wanting to shoot
Long range rules, the rest drool.
Check with your State Association, Colorado Rifle and Pistol Assc. They normally have all the matches in the state listed along with contact info for them.
Since you are in Colorado, you should definitely get in touch with Robert of the Black Powder Target Rifle Association. Target rifle is different than silhouette but a pile of fun. If I lived anywhere nearby I wouldn't miss a match. Robert's matches are as good as it gets.
