Just test-fired my new Bear Creek Arsenal upper in .450 Bushmaster and the thing drives tacks with Hornady FTX bullets. So now I am wondering if it will feed the Lee 452-255 RF and/or the RCBS 45-270 SAA, powder coated. Anyone been down this alley?

I use that Boolit in my 45 Auto Rim in a Smith M25 pistol.
I PC the Boolits and they work great.
I would think they will work great on your gun.
I tried some of the lee 255 rnfp boolits in my sons bushmaster and they ran well. I didnt have time to work up a dedicated load with cast boolits though. I wound up using 230 gr copper plated bullets with a max load of lil gun powder. I will work on the cast boolit load later as the only load that I tested functioned great but was about 5" at 100 yds. with a max load of lil gun. His only requirement for me was a 230gr or heavier bullet at max velocity. I believe the 255 boolit ,a little slower will group much better.
Thanks Shortlegs. I might just cast some up tomorrow for powder coating and Bushmaster trials. I'll do the same with the RCBS 45-270-SAA, but I am less confident the nose shape will feed.
