Yep! Loud!
Almost as loud as a .357Magnum!
15.0gr of H110 vs 21.0gr (110 vs 125gr bullet)
7.5” vs 4”bbl (4”M686).
1,500fps vs 1,500fps
40,000psi vs 40,000psi

Great thread. Thanks for sharing.

Cylinder throats on both of mine were uniformed to .310" and with GI ball ammo are more accurate than the 1944 Inland carbine I sold. Most accurate jacketed handload is Hornady .309" diameter, 90-grain XTP with 7.5 grains of Autocomp, same charge I use in 7.62x25. Accurate 31-100T with same charge is what shot the 100 yard gong group in the photo in earlier post.

Never heard a .30 out of a Blackhawk but I did get a chance to shoot the old amt auto in .30 it was loud but when you were the one shooting it it did sound loud at all. The loudest gun I ever shot was a 5.5 inch Blackhawk 327 mag. It was a good shooter. At the time I was shooting a lot if 480 475 Linebaugh and hot 45 colts so the 327 felt wimpy and wanted something else so I sold it. Oops
