Looks nice, never occured to me to build one from wood. Like your joint design.
What dosnt show in the pics is the center board in the up rights is cut at 10* on the bottom edge and a wedge fit in way proud the up rights are glued and screwed together left to cure for a couple days. Then the arms are glued and inserted the wedges driven in tight. And then the arms are screwed and the wedge locked with a screw. Makes a very tight joint with no play or wiggle. Also if your cuts are square then the arms are also when set.
I bought out a friends 1 man job shop. 2 lathes a bridgeport mill surface grinder and tooling. He threw in the cuts and drops along with a lot of stock in 4'-10' lengths. I need to get this up off the floor and out of the tubs and buckets. The nice thing is all the materials is labeled as to what they are. A lot of prehard and annealed 4140, some as big as 10" in dia. Cold rolled 1018, 10l17, this is mostly smaller round stock. Gage stock 01 and w1, drill rod. I really need to get it organized
Cool! Nothing like being able to see your stock at a glance!

That design could also be used to make a nice loading bench.
