That’s cool man thanks for sharing. Shells were classy back then.

Absolutely do not fire that shell. It is a part of history and should be treated that way. Take a look at that high brass base and tell me if you have ever seen one like that before. I started hunting with my dad in the late 1940's and I'll tell you I had never seen a shell like that in my life. That shell needs to be in a museum where it will be appreciated by future generations. Take Care guys and God Bless, james
Nope, I'm an informal collector and that one is tucked safely in the 12 gauge drawer. The guy said he thought he had a bunch more and I gave him my number.. we'll see.....

I will love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind.
While I don't go looking for vintage ammunition, I have to admit that is just plain classy. Nice!

beezapilot,
Not trying to throw water on your thread, just giving some perspective(I hope)
That is a seldom seen example you have and a good collector piece to be proud of.
You may get a better clue on dating by searching when Remington bought UMC, and when the kleanbore designation was used.
Arrow grade shells were a superior grade that were steel lined brass.
Sorry, the ARROW box does not take a good picture. Unfortunately these boxes do not have dates on them, but they both reference 33primers, not kleanbore.
If I looked hard enough, I could probably find a loaded arrow shotshell box and a closer dating of them in a reference book, but I have a hard time finding what I put away 2 weeks ago

That is no water thrown. The internoodle has all kinds of information, but rarely a bibliography. Appreciate the input, if nobody takes the time to teach you, you get to be wrong for a long time!
PS- VERY cool boxes you have there.
