I bought this barrel and other items from a friend's wife after he passed, the story is that he and his grandson were out shooting and the grandson must have put a magazine with 300 blk cartridges in the rifle and released the bolt. I had to remove the barrel from the upper as it was trashed along with the bolt carrier which was also broken. The bolt looked ok except for the extractor which was bent. No, I am not going to reuse the bolt even though it looks ok. I doubt that the bolt had gone all the way into battery due to the lugs on it looking perfect. I suppose that the fatter bullet had not allowed the bolt and carrier to achieve locking but did allow the hammer to reach the firing pin to detonate the round. The locking lugs in the barrel extension look fine also and this is a heavy match barrel and I am planning on using it on my next build. The lower was trashed also due to the magazine catch area breaking as I am sure that the mag was blown out the bottom. After seeing this I have put RED rubber bands on my 300 blackout magazines that say 300 Blackout. I used a pick to remove all the rest of the leading that I could see, but I think I will use the solution to give it the once over just to make sure. Thanks to all that posted replies, I appreciate you all.
