    Prayer request for my Father in Law - Heart event

    If you are willing and able - Please pray for my Father in Law Wayne. He had a heart attack/event last night and is in the hospital awaiting additional diagnosis and treatment this morning. Not sure yet if it's going to be a blockage or something else. Wayne is 90 - You may remember a prayer request for his Wife Hazel who broke her hip a few months ago. She's still doing well - But this won't help matters. She is a testament that your prayers do help. At least two sons and a daughter are close by to help. Thank you all so much.     Father, Please be with Wayne as he deals with his heart attack. Please give him comfort, freedom from pain, and healing. Father, You are the Great Healer and I pray that You guide his medical team down the path to restore him unto his wife Hazel, their family, and their friends. AMEN

    Little bit of an update about Wayne - He seemed like himself when we talked with him last night. His heart was damaged though. Left side ejection fraction was 69% when he went to the hospital, but is down to 29% when last measured. He has quite a bit of arterial plaque, but his Dr has taken a conservative approach in not doing stents - They don't want to dislodge anything that could cause a stroke or further damage. Not a death sentence - I have a brother who has lived 8 years with just 30% EF - on meds. Wayne will probably not have the steam he had before this - But we are praying for a good life for him an Hazel with what the Good Lord has left here for the both of them. They have been married for 69 years. Wayne says he wants to take that to 70+ years. More good news is that one of Wayne's sons is the Attorney for the hospital Wayne is in. Wayne says they might let him go home today. God Bless you all for the prayers you have sent up - My Wife and I are so grateful. Tom
