    HELP with 1877 receiver

I pick up a sharps 1874??. I think it is an 1877, the reciever is much lighter than my other 1874. It is a 40-65, the barrel was installed by Roy Bedeaux. His name is on the barrel.
BUT the only markings on the receiver is the serial # K 23, that's it. Can any one help me identify who made the receiver.

    THANKS!

    Dave

Roy has closed up his shop and retired, but he's still around. I saw him a few months ago. You might try giving him a call and see if he remembers anything about that rifle. I wouldn't count on it, he's had thousands of rifles pass through his hands over the years but it might be worth a try.

    Thank You
I did get in contact with Roy, and he confirmed that he built the gun using a Kit the he got from Dixie Gunworks back years ago. So all of the barrel work and stock work was done by Roy.

    Thank Again

Great! Glad you were able to reach him and he remembered that rifle.
