I have one plastic red can of caps that don't say #11 on container, but they almost fit #11 nipple maybe work better for #10 nipple? I don't have a #10 nipple to check. The caps are from Italy. Maybe I could hone a #11 down a bit to make them work.

I have the same red plastic can, and mine is marked with NAVY ARMS, RIDGEFIELD, NJ. MADE IN ITALY. back in the day they were made for the #10 nipples. to make them fit a #11, just take a pair of scissors and split one side and, VIOLA! there you have it!
Great, will give that a try.thank you
If you are willing to buy a nipple, I like to fit all mine so the caps slide on and off without undue issue, but stay on with certainty. I do this for hunting purposes. For target shooting, fit isn't as big a deal since you can push them on if tight and you wont have to take them off (until you fire), or pinch them if loose, and the chances of them falling off are slim. The way I do this is thread a nut onto the threads, in my case a 1/4-28 nut, then chuck that nut and nipple into a hand drill. I then turn the nipple, while with the other hand sand down the nipple with something like 180 grit sandpaper until it just fits on. I like to finish with something like 400 grit just because.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
Italian caps from back in the day were highly corrosive, so clean up good after using them.
