I shot quite a few rounds of the 250K boolit over Unique in .44 special and magnum yesterday and both revolvers cleaned up easily with just powder solvent and patches. No lead anywhere. Well pleased with this lube.

This recipe is great. I’ve used it in rifle and pistol loads. Anyone know how to get in contact with the OP?
It flows just fine through my RCBS LAM II too.

Is Dexron VI acceptable for use in this recipe?
For the lanolin addition can I use my Hornady *one shot* case sizing wax or best to just use
lanolin by itself?
My twist on the original:
4 oz beeswax
3 oz vaseline
2 tsp two stroke oil
2 tsp universal tractor fluid (for hydrostatic transmissions)
1/2 tsp castor oil
1 tsp Johnson Paste Wax
1/2 tsp Ballistol
Melt beeswax and vaseline using a double boiler then add the rest and stir. I live in South Texas and wanted more beeswax for hardness - this doesn’t seem to “weep” when it’s hot weather. It’s 65 degrees today and still soft but not sticky.

Time for another quadruple batch.

I use lanolin oil and 91% alcohol 50/50
I was wondering about the Alox alone,I was just trying it by rolling the bullets through it and it stays pretty tacky at least for a long time. I was thinking about something that might help thicken it up so applying it warm and then let it cool would get it to harden more. I'm thinking about melting some wax and seeing if I can get it to mix and see how it does when it cools.
And this lube would be for boolits, not cases right? I have not gotten to the boolit size/lube portion of my self education yet. Just started down this cast bullet rabbit hole the other day.

The simplest bullet lube that I use is spay on motorcycle chain lube. It is designed to resist heat and centrifugal force.
