Recently I had been trading, selling some of my surplus guns that held no affinity for me, and now is the best time to sell guns I have ever seen in my nearly 60 years. I saw a CPA for sale, which is my one and only grail gun so to speak. l enquired as to the price and calibers. It came with a 45/70 with a half oct/half round 34" heavy barrel, with MVA adjustable front sight, a 38/55 30" octagon barrel, and a .22Lr 30" octagon barrel. It also had the rimfire breech block, different extractors, and a manual. The 38'/55 had a MVA adjustable sight with level, the .22 had a Kelly adjustable case hardened front sight. It came with no rear sight, but a I had a Lee shaver long range Seoule with a Hadley eyecup that I had taken off of my Pedersoli down under Sharps model when I sold it the other day, only had to drill a hole in the base and it bolted right up. I got in 2 sets of MVA sight cards yesterday for the front sights, as all they had were a heavy rimmed peep that I could not see anything past 200yds and struggled there. I put in a small thin post, what I shoot best. The stock was a exhibition grade of feathered crotch walnut, with a benchrest stock, with a flat butt plate. The 3 barrels all had different forearms. The 45/70 had one that looked like Marbled walnut, the other 2 had ebony forend wedge, and feathered crotch walnut, to match the stock. The 38/55 and .22 lr had case hardened palm rest iron on the forend, and a rosewood and cocobolo adustable palm rest. The best part, is I got if for about the price of a new one, with one barrel.Pics dont do it justice, but I will send them to TBG to post when he gets time. Just thought I would share to you guys. Merry Christmas.
