    Boone and Crocket jackrabbit?

A year ago Thanksgiving my grandson shot his first ever critter with his new 20 gauge. Not really a cast bullet, but lead sure enough. That afternoon at dinner he quite seriously stated, "I think that might be a Boone and Crocket jackrabbit". I had to agree.

I had to look twice to get a sense of proportion for your grandson to the Jack... If he had been an adult that truly would have been a "Boone & Crockett" sized wabbit. He could almost ride that one....

That looks like some of my old stomping grounds in S AZ.

I guess eight pounds, either that or the boy had his wheaties.

    nice all around, real nice.

    good luck

Good picture and a great young hunter. Early success is remembered for a long time. Maybe you should consider getting him a 20 cavity mold for #6 shot.

They killed off all the jacks in this area in the 30-40's and they are just coming back. I look forward to the day I can hunt some here. That's one happy hunter you got there, get him hooked now before the video games get him.

coyotes I think I've shot smaller deer

    great pic.

my 10 year old loves chasing squirls at grandpa's house, can't get enough. has his own 22 rifles and a 410 shotgun, 20 guage and 12 guage shotguns, he shoots that 12 pretty good.
he still loves his video games, though he will throw it down for a chance to hunt or fish.
