Anything anyone haves would help, looking to make a thorough list eventually for case reforming as well as for which cases would use which loading blocks etc.; If someone already has this though, lots less work for me Thanks in advance.

You need a copy of "Cartridges of the World" by Frank Barnes.

Used to have one, another I guess.
ordered 9th edition, still going to wish someone had done all the work for me LOL
Glad you're getting the latest. I've got the original, No.5, and No.8. Lots of the newer shortened, expanded, squished, etc. AR cartridges aren't in No.8. But.......I don't have an AR!

For a quick desktop reference, I find an online search for a cartridge usually turns up a wiki page that lists all interesting dimensions. I do this when comparing two cases and not near my books (Nonte, Barnes, Donnelly).
Exactly right, Sir. It is where I go for my research. Many cartridges I have never heard of are listed and a click away.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rifle_cartridges
And a couple of hours work and the info can be transferred to a spreadsheet.

it could be interesting to see a family tree of cartridges
I am always going to Cartridges or the World for some sort of information.
<ebay links are verboten sorry>
Handloaders Manual of Cartridge Conversions is also a good reference for case conversion

I already have the 30-30 in my list.
I have 3 lines for cartridge names on the long sides of the reloading block, but some rim diameters you have far more than 3 cartridges sharing the same rim, body, or belt diameter (whichever's largest.) Think RCBS case holder # 3, that list is not short!
Plan is to make an OpenSCAD include file that will let me do anything needed with one common data file. (Make pocket ammo carriers, reloading blocks, ammo boxes, dummy cartridges, whatever.) I have a loading block design that will hold from 22LR up to 10 Gauge, for me that will be handy. (different prints for different rim diameters but I may try making a multiple round block in a bit.)
Then I won't need to maintain 37 different data files with different data and try to avoid typos as I copy the same data into multiple places! One rule of computing is that "You shall only have ONE master database, and back it up regularly!"
Try this out,

Interesting! Sadly to do what I want to do, I need enough data to make a dummy round for that cartridge, some data is missing there, SOFMatchstaff
I've found multiple errors in Cartridges of the World and some have been carried over into http://www.cartridge-corner.com/heads.htm after taking a a quick look at it.
I like using Municion.org. Their new website is still being updated, but the old one: http://old.municion.org/ works well and is pretty extensive. You'll need to convert from metric (divide by 25.4).
I do that conversion often, more often TO mm as I use mm in OpenCAD (mm is sorta the usual units for 3D designs for most folks.)
Interesting pages. I didn't see 7TCU on the last but have the data
A more accurate source of the data needed is Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges by Ken Howell. Unfortunately, it is out of print and pretty expensive on the used book sites.
