Thank you for your reply JonB.
One question on the Lundmark Liquid Paste Wax substitute for Johnson's Liquid Paste Wax -- I know that some waxes (especially for cars and boats) have abrasives in them to remove oxidized paint, oxidized gelcoat, etc. Does anyone know whether the Lundmark liquid paste wax has any abrasive "cleaners" that might wear the bore? [ETA: There are no abrasives in the Lundmark -- see the second post below.]
FWIW, I found a quart of the Lundmark wax on amazon for under $12...
Thanks again.

I'm not aware of abrasives in the Lundmark.
Thanks, Ben. The reason I ask is, in the Amazon description, it talks about "cleaning" as well as protecting. I just called the manufacturer to check, and they said it has no abrasives -- the "cleaning" is done by the solvent in the liquid, for example if you have a buildup of wax on your floor, I guess the solvent will help dissolve the old wax and help level it. I suspect the mineral spirits or whatever solvent they use would also clean shoe scuff marks, etc., from a floor.
Yes, all true..........
