I have some super duper heavy (230 gr I think, looks like a Lee 309-230) cast 30 cal bullets. I have a contender 30-30. I’m wondering if they will play nicely together. The bullets are PC Ford blue.

My under educated guess says that it will depend on twist and velocity as to if they will stabilize.

Only one way to tell .... L&S (Load and Shoot )
I can tell you the Lee C309-170-F works great in a Contender ... but that's as heavy as I've worked with .
That boolit is rather long ... my only concern would be if the throat is long enough to chamber .
Make up a dummy round or two and see how it works out .

What is the Color Scheme of your Gun? There is no way to tell if Ford Blue will work without that.

Mal Paso means Bad Pass, just so you know.
I have a number of 30-30 molds, a 100 gr to 190 gr. I think most Contender 30-30 barrels are 1 in 14 twist. My Super 14 is 1 in 14 and it does not like the 190 gr. at all. My 170's shoot great the 100,110, 130, and 150 all shoot really good also.
