What's a good contact to have some vintage ammo appraised? Any source materials or websites?

The best on the planet is rtgammo ( Ray Giles). Quite literally wrote the book.

You may want to check out "Wards Auction" site, they specialize in old collectable ammo and such.
Pictures you have posted look to be quite crisp, cartridges have fallen off quite a bit in the past few years due to the internet, so much has come out of the closet and price has gone down really a lot. Good stuff will still bring good $ if you can find the buyer. I was into sporting collectables for quite a few years--25/30 or so, made a living at it. Had many chats with Ray Giles at cartridge shows all over, bought and sold with him. He also co/authored a couple books on collectable ammo, really a great gent.
Yeah, I emailed him to see if he could send a fee table for appraisal. It's only fair to get paid for your time.
I'll check out Wards
Ray flew out from Texas and purchased my late uncles Collection, he was more than fair. Great gentleman.
