Hi everyone,
I'm the lucky owner of a 38 Long Colt Double action from 1892, with a .375 barrel.
I've tried some workarounds to shoot it (Minié bullets, HBWC, 38 SC heeled bullet) and I've found heeled bullets to be quite superior.
I would like to get a mold for it. An Old West bullet mold (heeled bullets, 150 gns) to be precise. But I live in Europe and they don't ship overseas anymore.
I'm looking for an alternative at Accurate Molds and I've got some hesitations. This model has a generous heel but a small lube groove; this one has the opposite problem and this other one seems to be be designed for rifles.
In your opinion, what could be OK in .375 heeled at Accurate molds with :
- generous lube groove;
- circa 150 gns;
- easy-to-crimp heel size?
Thanks for attention,
TT
