I don't make boatail bullets but do use blackmon dies give Randy Robbinett BIB bullets a call he can help you ps be ready to have a LONG talk

Thanks, I seem to have an adjustment difficulty. The prototype bullets that came with the dies have a neat perfect tip closer, however I'm having trouble getting the tips close that tight. Most tips the ejector pin gets in the tip, not on the tip.
sounds like you need to lower your point die and or need a little more lube on the seated core jackets how many grains of lube did you add after you lubed and seated your cores and make sure you tumble your 2nd lube on for maybe 10 min. I heat up my lube mixing gar ( large pickle gar ) for one min. in the microwave then smear the lube all over the sides
I do 1000 at a time what ever amount you do at a time keep notes of how much lube you use at each stage it will save you a lot of time in the future on set up and keeps your bullets all the same keep me posted on how you come out
Ron
Yes he is he knows more about making match grade bullets then you can shake a stick at always full of great information
