I have some lead bullets that are commericaly lubed that someone wants to remove so they can tumble lube. How hard is that, if it can reasonably be done? (I know "reasonably" is in the eyes of the beholder.)
Thanks,
Rick

Just put them in a pan in the oven very low. Tilt the pan to get the lube to settle away from the bullets.
Boil in water. Let it cool and skim the lube, then dump the water. Dump the bullets on a towel. A bit of residual lube won't affect it, and there won't be much. If none is desired, then boil twice.
Boil em. The lube will melt and float. Let cool then remove the lube layer.

You can tumble lube on top of the other lube without removing it.
I did this during the summer. Peanut jar with 150 or so boolits in it. Fill up with Mineral Spirits and set in sun. Rotate every so often. Then i tumbled them in cedar chips after they dried on paper. Didnt have luck with boiling them... Todd/3leg
Boiling in water is the best way. Twice if needed for powder coating.
Boiling in water. I just done a couple thousand.
I got a big ziplock bag full of 38 wadcutters that were aloxed and then got dumped in the sand. I just keep en for now as a reminder to be careful with lubed bullets
but one day I'll melt em back down and start over.
