Forget the trick spelling, it's SNIDER!
Invented by American Jacob Snider.
I reload for it on a Rockchucker with the bushing removed.
................A buddy of mine who is a retired RCMP constable asked me once, if I'd like to have a Snider Carbine? Why heck yeah! He informed me that you couldn't be a real Canadian unless you owned such a thing. I asked if he'd still ship it if I retained my U.S. Citizenship and he said sure. Growing up he had enough experience apparently to give his parents gas. In any event he shipped me a cut down rifle carbine version, and it was complete except for the hammer screw.
One the right is a .60" RB in a CBC 24ga shotshell with a large pistol primer (or you can retrofit with a regular shotshell battery cup primer). The charge was 24.0 grs of Unique.
My temporary front sight blade. A piece of the metal stiffener from a WS wiper and a hose clamp ............We're STYLIN' now!!
The above group was fired at 50 yards and it measured 1.875" with 24.0 grs of Unique. The 60 cal RB was cast of WW alloy and it sat on a .080" cardwad and lube disc. The velocity was 1475 fps.

Buckshot I love the temporary front sight, got you the height you needed for the permanent one, pretty kool. That old carbine is plenty accurate and powerful enough to feed a family.

My 577 Snider dies from CH4D are 1": x 14 TPI so an adaptor 1 1/4 x 12 to 1" x 14 had to be made.
Hold Still Varmint; while I plugs Yer!
Redding big boss has 1-1/4 - 12 threads once you remove the insert or a Redding ultra mag.
My Snider dies from England are 7/8x14

CH has all the large thread die adapters that you will ever need for almost all presses. They fixed me up with a .585 Hubel express adapter for the RCBS Rockchucker with the 7/8x14 insert removed. Best wishes
