    I have a Citadel 1911 chambered in 9mm.

I have run 2 cases of Wolf/Tula 115 grain fmj 9mm thru it with no problems and as you can see it’s small game accurate within 50 yards.

If my research is correct, Citadel is imported by Legacy Sports and is made by Armscor. Armscor makes RIA. I have an RIA and like it.

Remember when you could either get a Colt Govt. Model, build one yourself with an Essex frame, or go Spanish with a Llama? I do! NOW IS the “ good old days” for 1911 type pistols!

You know, TbG, I think you're right about that. I've got a small basket full of 1911-types, and for an entry level non-customized example with few or no bells and whistles, the RIA is really hard to beat. Essex and Llamas? I've got a few somewhere there in the basket, and having compared them all I'd say you are right. I really don't know why (some things just can't be explained) but I've always like Llamas, now receded into history. Their earlier ones weren't quite up to a Colt, but their final effort that was still made in Spain, the Max1 series were very good. I've got 2 Essex framed pistols. One has a Colt slide and the other an Essex slide. No complaints about either. Well, I'd be complaining about myself, as I built them.
