Winchester used an H as a headstamp for many cartridges for years in honour of J. Tyler Henry - who was the designer of the volcanic and rifle that bears his name.

Correct, Winchester marked their rimfire H until sometime round or just after WWII I forget now, as its been a while since I've read on it.
Kind of strange. When my dad passed, we were going through his stuff and here's two of those .41 RF cartridges. Never knew him to have a derringer or know anyone that had one. A mystery thathas plagued me over the years./beagle

Armscor precision must have bought the equipment from Winchester cause they had an H head stamp on the 22mag ammo till the middle 80s that i know of .
