I came across these while doing corvid clean-up.
Lead is corroded and won't fit in the chamber or they would get shot.
I have 8 boxes and they are just for looking at. Shame.

Growing up dad had drawer full of those exact boxes- about half shorts and half long rifle. Only remember a few dudes , have a partial box left and several old old boxes of various manufacturers from great grandpas farm. Most decorate the curio cabinet a few on top of the gun safe. Always bring back found memories.
Sell them to an ammunition collector and then buy some new, fresh .22 ammo ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!
Throw them in your vibrating tumbler and let it run for a few hours. Check on them, they may need more time.
They'll clean right up. I've done this many times with great results.
And, need not worry about the powder breaking down, that's old wives tales.

In the collectible inventory have a full pristine box of Remington Semi Smokeless 22LR’s
Won’t shoot any because I reload primed empty 22LR cases with 4.5gr of Swiss Null-B

FYI ... pure mineral spirits will clean up oxidation on the lead bullets. But the best deoxidizer is Eezox

I have used mineral spirits to clean up oxidation on the lead bullets in the past. I am also a Eezox fan but I would have never thought to try it for this. Thanks for the heads up.
I purchased a couple of the one gallon cans some 4 oz and some aerosols when Midway stopped selling it. The only non-aerosol currently on their site is a 4 oz can. https://www.eezox.com/shop/ultimate-gun-care-4oz-can

Interesting, I used to order quart cans directly from Eezox. Not listed there anymore but here is a vendor selling quarts and gallons. https://shop.guntap.com/eezox-premiu...free-shipping/
I have 9 empty quart cans - great stuff

John Boy,
where do you buy primed 22 cases?
I know CCI had some quite awhile back.
I suppose you have a heeled bullet mold?
I've always wanted to try that.
Sorry didn't mean to hijack thread.
M-Tecs ... A better solution that I just found .. Folex carpet spot remover. Wife bought some and tried it on cruddy old cases with oxidized lead bullets. Totally amazed the clean up it did t case and bullet
