I've had my Swede RB (1871) for a couple of years now and am just getting to it.
I've always wanted a rolling block and a low wall.
Now I just need a low wall.
Good Lord! The carbon in the bore! It is as a coal mine!
We'll fix that.
I've got the LEE C329-205-1R mold. Cast some pure "dental" lead, pounded one into the muzzle, seems it be 0.323"
QUESTION ONE: Should I assume this is the size of rest of the bore?
QUESTION TWO: What else should I do to determine the bullet sizing die I need???? Star dies are $50 from Magma Engineering!
I've got some Starline 45-90 brass coming in.
QUESTION THREE: It is not clear to me how far down the case I should anneal this before I begin any case forming operations?
I'm good at this stuff. I just need to know how far down to anneal it. I usually anneal to 650F using Tempilaq as an indicator; from experience this works well, and is well advised in the literature for most applications.
I am only accustomed to annealing down to the shoulder junction.
