New Norma Brass, Anneal before working?

I am going to neck up some New Norma 8x57r brass to 10mm for a project I have been working on. Thoughts on re annealing it before trying to stretch the necks? Plan is to take it to .35 first, then 10mm. Making a long tapered mandrel on the lathe to do the work that fits into a Lee die body.

This brass doesn't grow on trees, so I would hate to lose any.

Re-annealing would be a good idea.

NO! Unless you are fireforming. Necking up places downward pressure on the shoulder and you will collapse the shoulder if you anneal first. If you are fireforming than yes, anneal first.

I did not consider the downward pressure collapsing the case. Looks like I got that one wrong.
Thank goodness for those with experience.

I appears not annealing is the right answer. I ran 25 pieces through my 2 expanders, and only damaged one due to my own error(I think I can fix it though, just a fold at the neck because it wasn't lined up perfectly).
