I finally have someone here in California that is willing to part with their Wildey, one of my holy grail guns. Still working on the deal but thought I would see what kind of loads you guys are shooting?

my Ruger is fond of 14g of Bluedot. A sledge on deer, Iknow, also minute of deer to 75yd.
the Contender Sup14 doesn't care what you put in, it's slow (loading not velocity) but efficient.
I quit looking for a Wildey when my first deer dropped at 41 paces.
I haven’t shot my Wildey’s or Grizzlies for about 12 years or so. I could not find my load data.
I just got my loads from a couple of manuals. I believe I used the an older Speer and Hornady manual. I tried to get loads as close to factory loads as I could so cycling would not be an issue. I believe they were 230 gr clocking around 1250-1300 FPS.
Can’t have a post without pics!
Don’t have pics of my Wildey’s, but here’s 2 of my Grizzlies.

There is loading data in older manuals like "Modern Reloading Second Edition by Richard Lee" aka lee manual no 2,
Just remember that these autos are usually set up for factory [aka HOT] loads.
Even though the Wildey has an adj system , it still will have a higher low end..
Ps. got one in 475, a Griz in 45 mag and a DE in 44mag all like hot ,normal to heavy bullet hunting loads
