    Questions about core pins

I am going to upgrade the Texas Rigs on my duck decoys this spring/summer. My intent is to use 3/32 cable in place of the monofilament line I have been using. This means I will need to bore out my 8oz bullet sinker mold so the cable will fit through. What material should the core pins be made out of so the lead doesn't stick to them? I will be modifying a Do-it aluminum mold.

My egg sinker mold uses a brass rod for the hole and lead does not stuck it.

It is a piece if rod stock with a piece if 1 inch dowel as a T handle to pull it out when the lead cools.
