I'd like to put set screws against the sprue plate pivot bolt and sprue plate stop bolt. What size would you recommend for the set screws?

H&G molds used a #10X32 thread size for the sets and those have worked well for longer than I am old.
I would suggest a Socket Set Screw Cup Point 304 Stainless Steel - 10/32 x whatever length that fits, probably something in the neighborhood of 1/4" . A 3/32" hex wrench should fit. Inserting a small lead shot against the main screw will help in keeping the set tight and protect the threads. I would also suggest a little anti seize compound on all the threads. I use the stuff that has copper in it.
