Was cleaning out a junk drawer when I came across some stuff I had no idea where it came from. A little light went on.
Had two 3/8 inch .o.d x 3/16 x 11/2 inch spacer washers or bushing a 11/2 v-belt wheel and some time on my hands.
Opened 1 bushing to 243 and left the second as is. Push the one now was now .243 i.d into the pulley wheel that had a 3/8 shaft diameter, maybe 1 inch. Cut a slot in the v-belt wheel above top flang using a hack saw (could have done a better job but it worked) Took a dremel tool with a small cone sharp grinding stone and opened the end of the other bushing so it was just a little sharp . Used this to drop inside and cut the .375 disc , almost perfect for a .243 gas check. Now I find a old rusted piece of rod that measure .230. I have no idea where or how it got into the junk drawer. Was near perfect for pusing the disc thru the bottom bushing. For a better way to remove the top bushing I took a old 3/8 drive rachet added a few o-rings I had laying around, these really wre not needed but did help. Left the bottom bushing hang out and drill a hole into a old board to hold this . keeps maker from moving about while using it. Works Great
