Interesting post.
Think I'm going to include some in my shooting box.
Going to buy an all stainless steel hip flask.
Guess I'd better label as shooting product-not for human consumption though.

I did some plumbing a while back and now I use an empty pipe cleaner tin for Red's.
Cool ideas above guys. The hoppes bottle is holding up well.
For what it's worth, I keep bore cleaner in a glass jar. When I get to the range, I pour a small amount in the plastic bottle that has the flip top for squirting, and go about the range time. When finished, I pour it back in the glass.
For jacketed bullets bore solvent has ammonia in it, and if the container isn't air tight, the ammonia will evaporate and does no good. The same should work for ER with acetone.
I use acetone to clean bullet jackets, and keep it in a wide mouth glass jar. I dump jackets in, swirl around then pour out the juice through a strainer into another jar. I noticed the acetone would evaporate over some time, and these jars are I think pickle jars that had a rubber gasket in the lid, but it wasn't air tight. So I use a piece of saran wrap as a gasket, tear off a piece, double it over then place it on the jar top and screw the lid down over the wrap. The acetone never evaporates this way.
Just go on-line or to a gun show and buy some of the metal solvent containers that
come with the russian 91/30 or SKS and AK47 rifles. Cheap and don't leak.

I wouldn't put anything with acetone in the mix into a plastic bottle. Eventually it will melt it's way through the plastic and make a big mess.
Lab glass bottles are great for Ed's Red

Make note of the recycling number found on the bottom of most plastic containers. If you come across acetone in plastic, note the number, google it and find bottles you like with the same number, to insure compatibility.
I use recycled vape juice bottles, had Ed's red in some for years. Some even come with a precision tip.

There are small metal bottles, some are military surplus, Track of the Wolf has some new fancy ones for the field kit. There is a brass 'one drop' bottle that works well, sealed with a replaceable O-ring. Available at Amazon, Track of the Wolf, Dixie?, some others. I use the aluminum fuel bottles found for the mountaineering stoves to store Ed's Red.
I’ve got a ss hip flask that I put a o ring in the top and had no troubles for years.
I don’t put acatone in my mix.
Worst is people want a swig or think you have had a few.
I have always used the acetone containers that came with the acetone and have never had a problem. I use Sea Foam continuers for use.
If you attend any gun shows, keep an eye out for someone selling old, empty or near empty ,glass bottles of vintage Hoppes #9. Most folks overlook these old glass bottles. I recently found one at a show for $2.00 ,nearly full.
Use a Budweiser aluminum bottle painted red.
