Ok I bought a Ruger Precision 22lr and I need a scope
I don't need to spend a fortune.$100.00 to 300.00
I was thinking 3x-14x
25-30 feet parallax adjustment
Target turrets on vertical
maybe 40mm for better light
Any help will be appreciated

I had a Nikon 4-12 laying around that I put on mine and it seems to work well. If I remember right I picked that one up for around $189. may want to check out the Leupold rimfire scopes as well.
Ive had good luck with my Mueller. It sits on a CZ455 and has been used on my Win M70.

im not a big meuller fan, but the APV is a decent little scope on small rifles.
Based on the fact it is a 22 Precision, I anticipate that it'll get alot of use simular to my 40x trainer and air rifles. My air rifles get 1/2 an hour or more use x 3 days per week. It really sucks trying to use bad glass hour after hour. Now think, hour many hours you have behind that 30z06 or 270 you used last fall, what 15-20 rds to check/verify zero and one or two to the engine room and done for the year.
The 22 lr either rifle or pistol is he most used recreational caliber yet we see very few customs in this caliber. Hmmm
My recommendation would be to peruse the used market for higher end glass in the 20+ mag area. I prefer 20+ mag for 100m and beyond precise target work. I'd look for the older Lupy 6.5-20 1"ers, the older B&L 4200 series 6-24s and 8-32s ect. I've got alot of used lupys and 4200s on my air rifles. I have tried others and if the clarity isn't there, they don't get shot as much because eye fatigue sets in.
I use a BSA Sweet 22. It has an illuminated reticle and calibrated windage and elevation knobs. Shot it in many competitions on my savage.
Best 22 scope Ive ever had for the $99 i paid.

I have a couple of those as well and haven't had issues in a couple of years use. I figured they would work for the time being thinking they wouldn't last too long, but I was wrong and they have been perfectly serviceable.
I recommend the Vortex crossfire II in either 4X12 or 6X18. I use them on my 22lr rifles and have no problems with them. They fall into the middle of your price range.
Hi, a site that can help a lot when choosing optics. A look will not take much time. I hope not to break any forum rule

Hi I put a Vortex Viper 6x18 on my wife's precision works well but I never have seen what the parallax is like at 25 30 feet and that's a 300 dollar scope. The viper I had laying around but if was getting a new scope I would of put a cross fire on it.
I bought a HAWKE couple months back and I could not be more happy.
Costs where 150 ish. They offer a couple versions power wise and they offer dedicated etched glass reticules. THAT WORK!!
