I have a good friend who has a Howa 1500 chambered in .308 Winchester. He is trying to shoot a NOE 311-202 cup point with 2400 powder and is having a hard time coming up with a consistently good 5 shot group. Is there a "consensus" out there as to the "best" powder charge of 2400 to use with a nominal 200g boolit?
The thought just occurred to me, perhaps his gun has a 1:12 twist and won't stabilize that boolit unless driven real hard.
Anybody know the twist on a Howa 1500 in .308 with a bull bbl?
thanks--Shuz
