Blackoutbuilder, I do have that on my reading list. I am looking for specific information, the original setup instructions so I can better understand how these older dies work vs. the newer Corbin dies.
Thanks!

You may be able to get a Swag-O-Matic instruction set from someone on the Antique Reloading Tool Collectors' site.
What you have pictured, though, is not a Swag-O-Matic. It looks to be a Lyman Spartan reloading press with some brand of half-jacket bullet die screwed into the top. You have an ejection lever on the die. Is the die a C-H die? They made regular half-jacketed bullet dies for standard reloading presses as well as the Swag-O-Matic, which could not be used for anything but swaging, with the special dies that came with it. I would think C-H/4-D would still have the instructions for the standard dies, as they offered them for sale until quite recently. The Swag-O-Matic has been out of print for forty years or so; way before 4-D took over C-H.
Bent Ramrod,
Sorry about the press mix up. I have both a Spartan and a Swage-o-Matic. The die in the Spartan is a CH in 38 caliber. I have another in 44 caliber. The die set in the Swage-o-matic is are also CH but of a different style? I did check the CH web site and they do not have documentation for those dies. No doubt I am making rookie mistakes in trying to dip my toe into the waters of swaging.

Wow, a gray Swag-O-Matic, the first one I have seen. Most were red.
Both of mine are red, and I was surprised to see that one was gray, too..

There's a few gray S-O-M bodies on ebay if ya really want a change of scenery on your bench

I have red and gray in swage-o-matics. The gray is a later one. Was how we made pistol bullets when we could not buy them locally.
