You fellers who run these boolits with lots of close-spaced lube grooves know the standard hole spacing in our Star dies doesn't match up real well with the grooves, so we either accept the fewer grooves lubed or run them through a second time with different punch setting. I asked Lathesmith if he'd make me a closer hole spacing, and he gave me 5 rows of beautiful close-spaced holes (.06" spacing) without even charging extra. Here's how the new dies match up with a couple of the boolits I want to run
And here are the results -- just a single run of each boolit. And yes, I did need to block a couple rows when I ran the GC boolit with no GC, for which I use 7 1/2 shot that is squeezed in far enough to clear when inserting the die but is still easily removed.
