Tie a piece of dental floss around it and it will die and fall off. No pain,no blood and no infection
Soldering iron or gun.
There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide. Ayn Rand

I shaved a couple off years ago and haven't done it since and won't either! The dental floss idea sounds pretty good might be a bit difficult. The soldering iron and hot nail I'm sure would work but I'm allergic to pain so that's out!

Dental floss works very well. Get someone to tie it around for you if you can't reach it. Just tie a knot in it and the tag will fall off in a day or so. Absolutely no pain at all...none.
I've been known to slice off with a sharp knife, you'll bleed like a stuck hog so have a paper towell handy. I like the floss idea, wondered if that might work.

For long term management or in very painful areas Australian Tea Tree oil works. Put it on a cotton ball and soak/swab the area at least every 8 hours. There is a kit also that uses an elastic band for under $20 from amazon. You put the band on the device, put it over the tag and slide it off. Similar to ting off floss it makes it easier to get to the base of the thing.

My doc nips em with some small scissors and a dab of iodine, but I haven't had the nerve to do it myself. I'll just give him the $35 copay and let him do it next time I need it again.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
I have removed a few with nail clippers or a sharp knife.
A doctor once removed several for me. He swabbed with alcohol, then grabbed one with tweezers and gently pulled it until the connecting tissue narrowed sharply, and cut at that point with a fresh scalpel. No pain and no bleeding.
Later, a dermatologist removed some using clippers. That hurt!
Doc uses liquid nitrogen on mine. If I were going to tie them off, I think I'd use suture rather than dental floss.

I`ve lived with them in both arm pits for quite a few years and never felt the need to have them removed. Besides, now that I`m on blood thinners it probably wouldn`t be a smart idea to have them cut off.Robert
