    Latest boolits!

    Made some good zingers today!

My mold is a 240 gn swc with a gas check. I cast them with 5:1 wheel weight and linotype. The lube I used is Ben's Red... That stuff is tricky to use, btw... And this is the first time loading with Ben's red, so we shall see how it all goes.

Anyhow, the bullet is .430 240 gn swc GC and the load is 20 gn 2400 with WLP primers. They look nice.

44B,Welcome to the forum. Best I can see they look good but like wfo2 said, see how they shoot.
I cast and load similar boolit, I use 50/50 stick on and clip on wheel weights. I cast soft 10-12 bnh I believe. Lube Ben's red and/ tumble in Ben's BLL. Still playing with powders and sizers for different firearms.

I might suggest you try some, 5-10rds before you load up a bunch unless you already did. Work up a load that's good fer your firearm.
What are you shooting them in and how do they shoot sir ?
Keep good notes on load data, crimp etc.. so you can replete this when you find an accurate load.

Does it shoot well in both rifle and pistol?

I will most likely shoot them this weekend.
I've got a Ruger Redhawk with a 7" barrel and I also have a Henry lever rifle that shoot 44 mag.

This load shoots well with jacketed rounds in both guns, so I imagine it will be similar. Will be fun to find out!

They shoot GREAT! The load is a fairly stout load but I had no leading in either gun. They also cycle perfectly in my lever rifle.

Super fun hobby this casting boolits thing is!

I noticed one thing and that was some of the cases had some of the lube around the neck and my holes had a little lube around them. I didn't notice this when shooting with a harder lube.
