I use citric acid to clean bonded cores..There must be an additive in Lemi-shine that leaves a white residue on the inside of jacket and on lead core. the one on the left is lemishine ...right, pure citric acid. These are tumbled with stainless steel pins.. Then oven dried. No amount of rinsing will eliminate the residue.. It creates a fine white dust that gets into swage dies..D
I use citric acid.
" CANCER SUCKS" I swage .224, 6mm, 7mm, .308, 9mm, .40, .429. Also 9 to 30 jackets, and 9 to 9 jackets.
I think most people use Lemishine because it is simple to pick some up when you go to the grocery store. It is the citric acid in Lemishine that does the work so why not just buy the citric acid? It's better and cheaper to boot. At a tablespoon per quart of water, even a pound goes a long way. I buy it in 5lb bags because I also use it as a rust remover.
