Nice collection. If they've got powder in them I'd say you've got a leg up on the next shortage! I don't know about the red keg, but it looks to be in nice condition.
One day I will find a red keg at a yard sale ...for a dollar! It could happen I hope.
In the past my normal was to have 4 to 5 lbs total of the powder I use the most of! Now I look and WoW do I really need this much !! LoL
So far i've been into several of the fast burn powders testing!! Kinda of fun to have a variety to pick from!!!!!

In answer to the original question, I bought red dot in metal cans like that when I was shooting trap in the mid to late 60's. No idea how long they were used before or after that. Also remember those square cans of bullseye from the 50's and early 60's.
