I run 13.9 go Red Dot under a NOE 312290 (222.8 gr) in a 300 win mag.
I shoot the NOE 30 Hunter 190gr plain base in my Rem. 788 .308 with 10.5gr Redot @ 1325fps and five shot groups less than .75" @ 100 yards.Attachment 202582

I seem to remember a 9mm load using 4.0 gr of Red Dot under a Lee 105 gr SWC. Now I can't find it. I'm getting ready to load a bunch for son and DIL to use for practice in a Ruger P95 and S&W Shield. I haven't given them the Shield yet so I plan to break it in to see if this boolit will work but don't want to start loading without more guidance on the load of Red Dot.
I'm not worried about the P95. It seems to digest just about anything fed thru it.
Anybody got a confirmation or recommendation?

alamogunr that is the 9mm load I have used for a couple of years now with no problems. I don't like messing with the Pro 1000 once it's set up and smooth and with that recipe I have no need or intention to.
Thanks! I'm going to set up the Dillon 550B and load a few to put across the chrono and see how they hit the target at about 15 yds. I'm very careful about loads that I give to sons(& DIL's).
Before I posted above, I threw a few charges to see how they looked. There shouldn't be any risk of an overcharge.

I have shot Red Dot in 9mm from 3 to 4.5 grains with 124, 125, 158 gr cast.
It all works, the higher end loads I use in my Hipoint Carbine, or my 9mm handi rifle.
I have shot them in the Hipoint C9 but they are a bit snappy for my taste.
3 to 3.5 is pretty mellow especially with the lighter bullets.
With the exception of Maybe the belted magnum stuff I can't think of anything you could not work up a god load for . It is in my top 4 and has been for over 50 years .

I've always used Red Dot for handgun and even some reduced rifle loads. If you search for "The Load" by C.E. Harris, you'll find some interesting info. And, when powder was "hard to come by", no problem with "shotgun powders".
1.4 gr Red Dot under 100 gr RFN in .380 ACP
4.0 gr Red Dot under 125 gr RFN in 9mm
4.0 gr Red Dot under 125 gr RFN in .38 Spl
4.5 gr Red Dot under 150 gr TC in .40 S&W
5.0 gr Red Dot under 200 gr SWC in .45 ACP
6.0 gr Red Dot under 250 gr SWC/RFN in .44 mag or .45 Colt
Too many 12 ga shotshell recipes to list here. All light field or target loads.
I know it ain't Red Dot, but don't overlook other "fast" shotgun powders. I saw my buddy shoot a 200 yd group out of his scoped Marlin 336 in .30-30 that I had loaded 10 gr of Green Dot under a 170 gr Lee RFN GC that grouped into a little less than three inches. I would not have believed it had I not seen it. Yes, it dropped close to two feet, but the group was awesome.
I got Red Dot a few years back when other powders couldn't be found. It seems to burn cleaner at least my opinion than say WW231 does. I've found it to be accurate and another favorite like UNIQUE in my book. Being older than some I tend to be stuck in my ways and prefer the older powders over the newer ones that I haven't tried. I've loaded 9mm, 38/357, 44 mag, and 45LC with it and been very happy. I've never tried it in 45 acp simply because WW231 has been my favorite in that cartridge. I will have to try it in my 1911's.

Just thought i would bring this up one more time
kids that hunt and fish dont mug old ladies
When I used RedDot for metallic cartridge reloading, I have used it because I had it on-hand and I was out of whatever
propellant I really wanted to use.
Red Dot is my "Go To" shotgun powders
While Unique is my favorite general use Pistol propellant.
I'm currently out of RedDot, but I have TWO 4lb kegs of Unique.
I'm looking for someone who has 4# kegs of 2400 for sale, I could also Use a 4# keg of Reloader7.
My neighbor who does not reload has a 12# keg of IMR-4064 and an 8# of IMR3031 that I've been trying to talk him out of..
They have Red Dot in 4# ers:
