Too big IMHO. After PC'ing them you will have a hard time sizing them down small enough to chamber. A good PC bullet ideally for me, will fall out undersized, maybe .307-8 then come up after coating. My PSA upper likes them around .309 powder coated.

I just noticed they are for Hi tek coating which does not add to the dimensions of the bullets. The added size to the nose with PC'ing is another issue that will cause chambering/OAL problems.

I have found that Hi-Tek coating adds .001 to .0015 after applying 2 coats.
Pc can add under .001 to over .003 depending on the powder

I bought this mold in plain base during the group buy. Shoots just fine in my 16" PSA upper, no problem sizing to .310 after powder coat.

How do you powder coat?

Tumble in a #5 container. Used to use bb's but pre heating the bullets before tumbling works just fine. Dump them on a wire mesh tray, bake for 10-15 minutes and quench in water bucket.

I loaded some NOE 311-247-FN GCs haven't shot them yet but the chamber just fine.

I did not mention it in my original post but the 174gr I load for plinking supers. Like oger I also use the 247gr in plain base, again powder coated and sized .310 with no issues in slotted sheridan gauge or rifles.

Was hoping 308Jeff would chime in again with his intended purposes for the 174gr bulllet, you can't go wrong with NOE.

My testing with this bullet is fairly limited to just finding a good load based on primer signs and ejector swipes, but I shot some 2 days ago and think I have a good window for win296. My first chrono arrived just yesterday and I wont have a chance to put any over it until next weekend. I can give you some more info later if you're still interested and if you'd like I can send you some bullets to try out before you buy it.
