Randy asked me to do a test on two of his powders
he sent along a sample of his white and silver(light) powders
here is a picture of the powders before barbecuing: white, silver, green and teal (more on the last two in a bit)

these are pretty close up so every little small divot shows up
I tumbled these using #5 jar and ASBBs.
from here I double coated the white and silver and also...
used one of each, single coated, as a base coat for the green and teal bullets

and finally the teal (which is a mix of Smoke's powders--I'm notorious for adding a different color every time a run low in the tumbling jar. Gives me a wide range of shades which I like)
left: single coat over lead, middle: middle: teal over white base coat, right: teal over silver base coat

That white doesn't look like it flows very evenly...double coating makes the radius on the nose of this RNFP too thick to go into battery sometimes, depends on the weapon.
Green looks real nice in one coat.
I have several colors but the go to powder here in this shop is clear gloss.
Nice pictures...they're worth a thousand words.

Conclusions:
NONE OF THESE HAD BEEN RUN THROUGH A SIZER BEFORE PICTURES WERE TAKEN
White is very fluffy (with apologies to Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias) while the second coat seems to add to a more complete coverage: I have shot single coated white bullets without any problems or leading.
Silver (light) has a smoother look and a single coat does hold up to cowboy rifle loads (that's all I shoot these days.)
As undercoating both give some interesting looks. I like them but that's an opinion. Yours are your own and may be different...or not.
contact RandyRat about availability and pricing.
and as always I received nothing, other than the small amounts of powder to do this and I'm not part of his business; further I understand if I am caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow all knowledge of my actions

Walter would you measure and see how much if anything the second coat adds in the dia. Kevin
Is that Smoke's green or from someone else? It looks the best of the bunch, closely followed by the teal. I've tried Randy's dark gray and it flows out nice.
