Let's see you Shiloh Sharps Rifles.
Let's see you Shiloh Sharps Rifles.
I picked this Shiloh Sharps up from a friend a few months ago. My wife decided she wanted a Sharps and I asked him which brand he prefered. He told me that Shiloh was the one to get but a week later called me as asked me if I wanted to purchase his. He also had about a $1000 worth of ammo, brass, mould and sights on the gun. It's chambered for 45/70 and has Baldwin Long Range Soule rear sights with Winchester front sights. I'd been out of casting bullets for quite a few years but getting this gun really got me back into it with a vengence. I've been having a ball shooting it. I wish we had some long range shooters close to SW Oklahoma that I could shoot with but life goes on. I've got my own range that is 260 yards outside my front door. It's pretty handy and nice to be able to shoot in the evening. I've also got 400 acres near Mangum Oklahoma where I can shoot long range and one of these days I'm going to give it a try.
I already posted this in another thread but figured I'd add it to the more appropriate thread.
Hartford Model, 45-70, heavy full octagon barrel, MVA buffalo soule rear and spirit globe front sight. Hopefully, I can get an elk with it this fall.
Here is mine

I'll post pics of mine when I get it!
Here's my two Shilohs. Top is a LRE in 45/70 and bottom is a #3 in 40/65. Both wear MVA sights. Thinking of selling the LRE but only FTF in northern Illinois.
